When did you begin running/walking?
1980 – The walking came later when I discovered it took as long to run the half as it did to walk it and it was kinder on the body.
Do you have an event highlight you would like to share?
Vancouver Marathon – a group of us from Taupo went over to Canada and USA, we had a great time as well as a good run on the day
What drives you to return year after year?
Stubbornness – started out as a group but gradually for various reasons friends dropped out.
Do you have any motivation secrets to help get out the door?
Often to meet a friend and go together or else get out of bed and go before you think of an excuse not to
